The Watchmaker of the Sea
Founded in 1846 in Le Locle, Switzerland, Ulysse Nardin is a historic watchmaking maison whose legacy is rooted in the precision marine chronometers developed for some of the world’s leading navies. Today, the brand continues this maritime heritage through innovative mechanical timepieces that push the boundaries of contemporary haute horlogerie.
Manufacture in Le Locle & Mechanical Innovation
As a manufacture developing its own movements in-house, Ulysse Nardin has continuously evolved its maritime legacy through highly technical mechanical watchmaking.
Introduced in 2001, the Freak challenged conventional watchmaking with its dial-less, hand-less and crown-less construction. Its pioneering use of silicon components and innovative escapement technology opened a new chapter in modern mechanical watchmaking.
